Blogs are hard to keep up- I treat my journal this same way. I started this a few months ago and have no excuses for not keeping current. As a mini follow-up on the photos in Chicago: While in the Windy City, my dad bought our boys some Cubs baseball gear. In the hopes of capturing them in the magic and mystery of Cub’s baseball, I got them together in front of the camera. With the soft windowlight as my light source and using the bed as a backdrop, there was definitely some magic beheld (if you ever tried to take photos of your own kids, you might know what I mean!).

I love my boys.

Ollie & Samuel at Hope Farm: We started this tradition with my niece to have the kids in our family dress up like farmers and go play with some livestock and poultry. Since Samuel and Ollie are both turning 4 in July, this was a great way to document them together in their 3 year old ways. So far, photographically, there have been some pretty great results. The Hope family were gracious in letting us play on their property- Thank You! I will try and post a few more from this set in the coming week.

Sweet Chicago: Man- I don’t know what it is about this town but there is some real sweet feeling when you are out in the Windy City. My dad and I decided a few months back to do a follow-up trip to our roots after we saw the homeland of Poland a few summers ago. There are a lot of Poles in Chicago- let me tell ya. My dad’s friend, Tom, and his lady even took us on a personalized tour on the last day we were there. Bratwurst, beer, and Cubs baseball….ahhhh yeah.
